charleston fourth of july eventsThe Fourth of July (one of our favorite holidays here at Charleston Harbor Tours) in Charleston is one of the most exciting days of the year. The sky is lit in practically every direction with vibrant fireworks, the smell of mouth-watering barbecue is a constant, music and dancing is never too far away, and the Charleston community is in high spirits (not that it ever isn’t!).

1. Fireworks at the Aquarium’s Riverside Terrace: On the evening of the Fourth of July, The South Carolina Aquarium on Charleston harbor will be hosting an unforgettable Independence Day bash on their Riverside Terrace, overlooking the Cooper River. During this event, guests can enjoy delicious Lowcountry barbecue from Smoky Oak Taproom, locally brewed Holy City Brewing beer, music, a 4-D Theater movie showing, and a fantastic seat to fireworks over the harbor.
