Free 90-Minute Historic Charleston Harbor Tour:

Bring ID to: Charleston Maritime Center, 10 Wharfside St. in downtown Charleston (approx. 1 block south of SC Aquarium)

Come aboard the Carolina Queen for a relaxing and fascinating harbor cruise! This Charleston harbor cruise is a live-narrated, 90-minute, non-stop history tour. During this exciting cruise, you’ll witness over 75 points of interest including up-close views of FORT SUMTER, plus the Battery, and Patriots Point – there are also frequent dolphin sightings so keep your eyes peeled! Snack bar on board. Private charters and group dinner cruises available. Free parking is available at the Charleston Maritime Center; on-street parking is metered, and a public parking ramp is near the Aquarium.

Join Palmetto Carriage Works for a historical look at downtown Charleston aboard one of their interactive Charleston carriage tours. During this tour, you’ll experience a blend of knowledge, wit, humor, and history. Your one-hour carriage tour will travel 25 to 30 blocks around Charleston’s famous historic downtown district. You will see houses, gardens, mansions, churches, and parks. Your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating stories and facts about the buildings, history, architecture, flora and people of Charleston. Easy access carriage loading ramp; just step in and out.
