The presents have been unwrapped, the ham devoured and we have truly shopped until we dropped. Now it’s on to New Year’s Eve to celebrate with gusto the passing of another year and all that 2014 holds.

The Snyder Grand Ball: Ring in the New Year at the South Carolina Aquarium with food, drink and music by Elise Testone. The event begins at 8 p.m. and supports Darkness to Light.
Gatsby at the Garten: All you can eat and drink with live music and snazzy attire as Sierra Nevada and Harpoon bring a 42-tap takeover with taps free flowing with 18 flavors of craft beer. 8 p.m. at Bay Street Biergarten.
Charleston Rose Ball: IceBox Bar and Charleston After Dark are hosting this fashionably upscale New Year’s Eve ball at The Citadel’s Johnson Hagood Football Stadium. The event is 9 p.m. Dec. 31 until 2 a.m. Jan. 1 inside the Club Level and outdoor terraces at the stadium.
Charleston New Year’s Eve Ball: Enjoy food, music by Fowlers Mustache, dancing and a champagne toast. 9 p.m. at Omar Shrine Temple in Mount Pleasant.
Yorktown Countdown: Music, food and incredible views from the USS Yorktown. The party starts at 9 p.m.; come dressed to impress.
