Football season is in full force. Charleston area football fans are sporting Carolina Gamecock and Clemson Tiger jerseys and blocking out their Saturdays to head to their favorite sports bar to take in a game.
Whether you’re cheering for the Gamecocks, Tigers or another beloved college football team, we know you don’t want to miss a single second of the action on the field. And if you’re visiting Charleston during football season, we know you don’t want to spend the afternoon watching the game on the hotel TV. So here are some great places to take in a game on a Saturday afternoon.
Wear your Gamecock gear to The Roost Bar N’ Grille, 825 Savannah Highway, for a Saturday of food and football.
King Street Grille has plenty of flat screen TVs at its multiple locations: North Charleston (Northwoods Mall), Charleston (Citadel Mall), Mount Pleasant and in downtown Charleston at 304 King St.
With plenty of TVs, a varied menu and outdoor seating, Daniel Island Grille (DIG) is a football fun zone. Check it out on Daniel Island or visit DIG in the Park located in North Charleston’s Park Circle area.
Wild Wing Café has plenty of room for a big group of friends who want to watch teams from the Buckeyes to the Gators and everything in between. Wild Wing has locations in Charleston, North Charleston and two locations in Mount Pleasant.
If you’re in downtown Charleston and ready for a beer and some football, stop off at Mad River Bar & Grille, 32B Market St. This spot has a 120-inch HD projection screen, 50-inch plasma TVs and five booths with personal flat screens.
