Somehow June is zipping by and we’re in the throes of summer and making plans for the fabulous Fourth of July. Why fight the crowds to watch the fireworks when you can have the best seat in the house: the Charleston harbor.
Check out our three July 4 events and let us do the work. Your job is simply deciding which one you want to book.
Craft Brews Cruise: Board the Carolina Queen at 8 p.m. for a two-hour cruise around the harbor with the fireworks show at 9 p.m. Enjoy $4 brews from Lagunitas Brewing Co. out of Petaluma, Calif. Plus there will be live music by Charleston blues/rock band Weigh Station, and Roti Rolls will have food for purchase. Tickets are $30 per person and space is limited.
Blues & BBQ Harbor Cruise: Take a ride around the Charleston harbor on the Carolina Belle while enjoying music, barbecue and fireworks over the water. The cruise is 8-10 p.m. with a Home Team BBQ buffet and blues music by Shrimp City Slim. Cost is $52.95 per person plus cash bar
July 4th on the Pride: Enjoy a sunset sail aboard The Schooner Pride, an 84-foot tall ship modeled after the 18th-century coastal trading schooners that once dotted the Charleston harbor. The sunset sail is 7-9 p.m. and then stay afterward to enjoy the fireworks show from the dock at the Aquarium Wharf. Beer and wine available for purchase and guests are invited to bring a snack or picnic to enjoy while sailing. Cost is $50 per person and space is limited. The Schooner Pride
