Angel Oak

The first stop on the tour is the Angel Oak. This magnificent tree is one of America’s oldest standing trees at around 500 years old. It is one of Charleston’s must see spots and it is the perfect spot to snap a pic on the tour.

Charleston Tea Plantation

Charleston South Carolina is home to America’s only Tea Plantation. Hundreds of thousands of tea bushes spread out along the land on beautiful Wadmalaw Island in the heart of the lowcountry. The land on Wadmalaw Island provides the perfect conditions for the Camellia Sinensis tea plant. This specific tea plant is used to create black and green teas and is present in over 320 varieties on the 127 acres of the Charleston Tea Plantation. For tea lovers this is a dream come true. Visitors will lean first-hand how tea is made from a Factory Tour and visit the Plantation Gift Shop with a wide variety of tea-related gifts.

Deep Water Winery

Deep Water Winery is a 48 acre winery and vineyard located on Wadmalaw Island. This vineyard has something for everyone. It is the only domestic winery in Charleston South Carolina and it is a local and visitor favorite. Deep Water produces authentic muscadine wine with five different labels from four different varieties of grapes. Muscadine grapes are native to the Southeastern United States and Deep Water Vineyard prides itself in using these US native grapes. The vineyard offers walking trails, a garden, pond, winery, and gift shop. It is the perfect spot to take a stroll under the oaks, indulge in a wine tasting, or meet “Irish” and “Luca”, the resident winery pups .

Firefly Distillery

The Firefly Distillery is conveniently located right next door to Deep Water Winery. Home of Firefly Spirits and the world’s first Sweet Tea Vodka, Firefly Distillery is known for quality spirits and innovation. At the distillery visitors can sample a selection of fine spirits, meet the “Firefly family” and get a taste of southern hospitality at its best.
